SoCal Basketball College Fund Award Program

Effective Date: February 2026

Program administered by KCLH Sports Enterprises LLC

1. Program Overview

SoCal Basketball offers the College Fund Award (the "Award") to registered players who maintain continuous active participation in the program through high school graduation. This Award is a commercial player incentive offered by KCLH Sports Enterprises LLC ("SoCal Basketball") and is not a charitable scholarship, educational grant, or tax-deductible contribution.

2. Award Tiers

The Award amount is determined by the player's grade level at the time of initial registration with SoCal Basketball:

9th grade or below at registration: $1,000

10th grade at registration: $500

11th grade at registration: $250

12th grade at registration: Not eligible

The Award tier is locked at the time of initial registration and does not change regardless of how long the player remains in the program. Grade level is determined by the academic year in which the player registers.

3. Enrollment Eligibility

To enroll in the College Fund Award program, a player must:

Be in 11th grade or below at the time of initial registration with SoCal Basketball

Complete a valid registration including jersey fee ($35) and performance bond ($100)

4. Ongoing Requirements

To remain eligible for the Award, a player must meet ALL of the following requirements on a continuous basis from enrollment through graduation:

a) Continuous Active Status

Player must maintain active registered status with SoCal Basketball from the date of enrollment through high school graduation with no lapses

A player who withdraws, is removed for disciplinary reasons, or allows their registration to lapse forfeits eligibility for the Award

SoCal Basketball may grant a leave of absence for documented medical reasons or family hardship at its sole discretion. Approved leaves do not break continuous active status

b) Tournament Attendance

Player must participate in at least 50% of scheduled Saturday tournaments in each calendar year

Attendance is tracked by SoCal Basketball staff and recorded at each event. Disputes must be raised within 14 days of the event in question

c) Weekly Spectator Requirement

Player must have at least one (1) spectator (parent, guardian, or designated family member age 18+) present at each tournament the player attends

The spectator requirement supports player safety and family engagement, which are core values of the SoCal Basketball program

d) Performance Bond

Player's $100 attendance performance bond must be in good standing at all times

A forfeited bond must be replenished within 30 days to maintain Award eligibility

5. Award Payment

The Award will be paid within 60 days of receiving valid proof of high school graduation (diploma, transcript, or official letter from the school)

Payment will be made via check or electronic transfer to the player or their parent/guardian

The Award may be subject to applicable tax reporting requirements (IRS Form 1099-MISC may be issued for amounts of $600 or more). Recipients are responsible for any tax obligations

Only one Award per player regardless of the number of SoCal Basketball locations attended

Proof of graduation must be submitted within 90 days of the graduation date

6. Forfeiture of Eligibility

A player forfeits eligibility for the Award if any of the following occur:

Player withdraws from the program or allows registration to lapse

Player fails to meet the 50% tournament attendance requirement in any calendar year

Player fails to have a spectator present as required

Player's performance bond is forfeited and not replenished within 30 days

Player is removed from the program for disciplinary reasons or violation of SoCal Basketball code of conduct

Player does not graduate from high school or equivalent

7. Program Modifications

SoCal Basketball reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the College Fund Award program at any time with 60 days written notice to currently enrolled players. Any modifications will not affect players who have already met all eligibility requirements at the time of the modification. Players who are actively enrolled at the time of any modification will be given a reasonable transition period.

8. General Provisions

The Award is non-transferable and has no cash value until all eligibility requirements are met and proof of graduation is submitted

SoCal Basketball may require verification of identity, enrollment history, attendance records, and graduation status before issuing payment
